Scosche bandEDGE Case for iPhone 4 (Clear/Black) Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Scosche bandEDGE Case for iPhone 4 (Clear/Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory) The Scosche BandEdge is a great case. I bought it knowing apple was going to offer the free bumper. I wanted to show off the iphone 4 as much as possible while keeping it well protected. This case does both! The rubber on the outside edges is very tough and provides great lay on the table design. The clear polycarbonate sandwiched between the rubber edges shows off the beautiful metal band unlike the apple bumper. There are two annoyances that I am willing to deal with but are still there. 1. The volume and sleep/awake buttons are a little difficult to press. 2. There are two tiny injection molding spots in the clear polycarbonate band on the case, however I would much rather have that than not being able to see the metal band. This review is from: Scosche bandEDGE Case for iPhone 4 (Clear/Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory) Bought this before the free bumper were available, and I'm glad I did. Looks much better than the apple bumper, works the same way. Protects the edge of the glass while still showing the metal band. Also keeps the glass from contacting surfaces that may scratch when you set the phone down. All my dock connectors and headphones work just fine. Plus it still looks like an iphone 4. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? Carlson (Sun Prairie, WI United States) - See all my reviewsAmazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Scosche bandEDGE Case for iPhone 4 (Clear/Black) (Wireless Phone Accessory) GOOD Overall, I like how this "case" looks. Obviously, it doesn't provided much coverage. If you keep your phone in a pocket or purse with other items that could scratch (i.e. keys, pens), look for a case with more coverage. I think it looks better than the other bumper-style cases out there in that it allows you to see some of the stainless steel edge of the phone. The clear part is acrylic (I think) and is quite clear optically, unlike the clear silicone/soft plastic cases I've used or seen. It also solves the antenna reception issue: I haven't lost any calls with my phone, but I do get more bars with this case installed. The minimalist design also keeps the phone thin overall. I used my phone for a few weeks without a case because I liked it looks and feel. Once you get used to the bare phone any case makes it feel fat, not to mention covering it's good looks. BAD The button covers make using the volume and sleep buttons much more difficult. I had another soft case which barely impeded button use - this is much worse. Like any case, you'll have to remove it if you want to use a dock, speaker or other device in which the phone sits. I haven't had any problems plugging in Apple's stock USB cord, but aftermarket cards may not fit. And as another reviewer pointed out, the hole for the headphone port is too small. Apple's earbuds work, but my Audio Technica and Shure earphones can't plug in. Lastly, the clear part of the case has marks where the plastic was injected into the mold. The marks are visible with anything more that a cursory look. For the price, I guess it's not bad. But I did expect better. It came with clear screen & back protectors, but I didn't like them as they altered screen colors somewhat and were harder to install than most. OVERALL Don't buy it if you use headphone often as they most likely won't fit. Otherwise, the minimalist design is nice for showing off the phone's good looks. It's relatively inexpensive, which is nice as I bought it as a temporary case until a custom leather case I've ordered arrives. Editorial Reviews Amazon.com Review Amazon Exclusive: Kevin Spacey on The Accidental Billionaires Kevin Spacey’s films include Superman Returns, Beyond the Sea, The Usual Suspects, American Beauty, Swimming with Sharks, Seven, L.A. Confidential, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Negotiator, Hurlyburly, K-Pax, and The Shipping News. He will next be seen in Men Who Stare at Goats opposite George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, and Jeff Bridges, as well as Nick Moran’s film Telstar opposite Colm O’Neil and Pam Ferris. Read his exclusive Amazon guest review of The Accidental Billionaires: I first met Ben Mezrich when I produced and starred in 21, the film adaptation of his great bestseller Bringing Down the House. Ben has a gift for finding high-energy, strange-but-true tales and The Accidental Billionaires is no exception. You may think you know the story of the Facebook phenomenon, but you haven’t heard the whole story and never like this. Recreating the unbelievable rise of the world's biggest social network—not to mention the planet's youngest billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg—Ben tells a captivating story of betrayal, vast amounts of cash, and two friends who revolutionized the way humans connect to one another—only to have an enormous falling out and never speak again. Eduardo Saverin and Mark Zuckerberg were two geeky, socially awkward Harvard undergrads who wanted nothing more than to be cool. While Eduardo chose the more straightforward path of trying to gain acceptance into one of the school's ultra-posh, semi-secret Final Clubs, Mark used his computer skills by hacking into Harvard's computers, pulling up all the pictures of every girl on campus to create a sort of "hot-or-not" site exclusive to Harvard. Though the prank nearly got Mark kicked out of college, he and Eduardo realized that they were on to something big. Thus, the initial concept of Facebook was born; what happened next, however, was right out of a Hollywood thriller. The Accidental Billionaires is the perfect pairing of author and subject. It's pure summer fun—a juicy, fast-paced, unputdownable Mezrich tale that adds to his canon of lad lit. And Hollywood has come calling again: I'm currently working with Dana Brunetti, Scott Rudin, Mike Deluca, and Aaron Sorkin on the movie adaptation of The Accidental Billionaires. If the book is any indication, the film is going to be a must see.—Kevin Spacey --This text refers to the Hardcover edition. From Bookmarks Magazine Mezrich forsakes the technical and business aspects surrounding the creation of Facebook and instead opts for juicier stories of "hot girls," all-night celebrity parties, and sex. Much to the chagrin of critics, even these lurid details were not enough to entertain them. They also criticized the author's forays into fiction: it's no secret that Mezrich plays fast and loose with the truth -- he says as much in an author's note -- but reviewers complained that his plot embellishments were laughable. Mezrich's inability to obtain an interview with Zuckerberg and his reliance on Zuckerberg's bitter ex-business partners for information necessitated some conjecture, but even with invented dialogue and imagined motives, Zuckerberg fails to come to life. Facebook addicts may rejoice, but all others should avoid Billionaires. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.
